The Saskatchewan Roughriders added depth at running back Tuesday.
The CFL team announced it had signed Ralph Webb, who previously had NFL stops with the New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 5-foot-9, 205-pounder signed with New England as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt University in 2018. He appeared in four pre-season games with the Patriots, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns and catching five passes for 28 yards and a TD.
Webb spent four seasons at Vanderbilt and, over 49 games, rushed for 4,178 yards and 32 touchdowns and added 572 yards receiving and another three scores. He left Vanderbilt as the school’s all-time leading rusher and with the sixth-highest rushing total in SEC history.
