A missing person’s case in Saskatoon has turned into a murder investigation in North Battleford.
The RCMP says the human remains found after a fire northeast of North Battleford in January are those of 29-year-old Jordon Daniel Boire of Saskatoon.
Boire was last seen in Saskatoon on Jan. 19 and was reported missing to the Saskatoon Police Service the following day.
A body was found in a burned-out house 30 kilometres northeast of North Battleford late on the 19th. That prompted the murder investigation that since has identified Boire as the victim.
The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit-North has taken over the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call the North Battleford RCMP at 306-446-1720 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
