It was a morning full of traffic tie-ups in Saskatoon.
That includes the railway crossing at 20th Street West and Avenue L South, where Saskatoon police said a train and an Access Transit bus collided just before 8 a.m.
Traffic was rerouted as the train stayed stationary from Avenue L South to Avenue W South.
According to a release from the City of Saskatoon, the operator of the bus had parked near Station 20 West to help a passenger on the bus, with another passenger still in the vehicle.
Saskatoon Fire Department paramedics helped to assist the passenger in the vehicle to hospital as a precaution.
The internal investigation has the cause of the collision as the bus being parked too close to the railroad tracks.
As of 9:14 a.m., traffic was flowing through the railway crossing.
