The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating two stabbings and a robbery that occurred Tuesday evening.
In a media release, police said they’re looking for five suspects in connection with the events, which started at about 6 p.m.
Initially, officers were sent to a business in the 2400 block of 22nd Street West for a report of an armed robbery.
They were told six people — all estimated to be around 18 years of age — entered the store, some with masks on and some without masks. When an employee asked them to leave, one of the suspects threatened the employee with a knife.
The group fled the store with stolen property. The employee told police he chased the group until a male suspect threatened him with a gun before running off.
At about 6:45 p.m., officers were sent to hospital to meet two people who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries in separate stabbings.
A 51-year-old man said he was approached from behind and stabbed after seeing a group of teens running near 22nd Street and Avenue S. The second victim, a 50-year-old man, reported he was walking in the 2100 block of 22nd Street West when he was approached by an individual and assaulted with a knife.
Finally, at about 11:15 p.m., police responded to a restaurant in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West, where a male pulled a knife during a fight. Police arrested a 13-year-old male who matched one of the descriptions from the assaults and robbery.
One of the female suspects is described as having dyed blonde hair. Another female is described as being approximately six feet tall with a round face and shoulder-length dark hair; she was dressed in all black.
One of the male suspects had shaggy, dark hair and was wearing a black Adidas track suit. Another was said to be wearing light blue jeans with a grey bunnyhug. The third male suspect was wearing a light-coloured bunnyhug with blue jeans and a backpack.
Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
