Mel Thompson is making the most out of all the snow that was left on her front yard earlier this month.
It took her about a week, but she made a giant blue snow dragon.
She started by shovelling the snow into a big pile and packing it down.
“I used some buckets and basically just my hands and shaped it into how I wanted it to look and I put some food colouring and water in a spray bottle and made it blue.”
The snow dragon is located at 2413 Cairns Avenue and people are welcome to stop by and take pictures.
“I am right down the street from a school and previous years when I’ve done this, teachers will bring their classes and take pictures with it and it seems to make people smile, so that’s what I was going for,” she said. “We need more things to make us smile these days.”
