Saskatoon Public Schools has temporarily closed Wâhkôhtowin School after a second positive case of COVID-19.
The health authority notified the school division about the second positive case on Sunday, Nov. 15.
“Due to the contact tracing investigation, the school is facing staffing challenges for continuing in-class learning,” the division said in a news release.
All students will be moving to remote learning for the duration of the closure. The school is scheduled to reopen on Monday.
Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools was also notified by the SHA of a single case in Holy Family Catholic School, Bishop James Mahoney High School and St. Mary’s Wellness and Education Centre.
The affected classrooms and cohorts will switch to online instruction on Wednesday.
