Visitor restrictions at Saskatchewan Health Authority facilities — which include hospitals — will remain in place in Saskatoon for at least another week.
The SHA announced the extension to the restrictions Tuesday afternoon. That means family presence and visitation are only allowed for compassionate reasons only.
In a media release Tuesday, the SHA said restrictions could be in place for quite some time.
“We anticipate these restrictions will remain in place for the foreseeable future and will send out communications when these restrictions change. We will continue to assess the situation weekly,” the release read.
The restrictions were implemented following escalating COVID-19 activity within Saskatoon.
The restrictions will be reassessed again by 4 p.m. on Nov. 17, and every week after that.
