Saskatchewan is reporting another jump in COVID-19 cases, the largest since July 29.
There were 48 new cases and 12 recoveries reported Monday.
Nineteen of the new cases are in the north-central area. Thirteen are in Saskatoon. Regina saw five, with an additional three in the northwest and central-east zones and one each in the far northwest, northeast, central-west, southwest and southeast areas.
Those cases increased the provincial total to date to 2,140.
Eight people are in hospital, one of whom is in intensive care in Regina.
Health officials are still investigating the sources of exposure for every case. It was reported Sunday that at least 12 cases were linked to the Gospel Outreach outbreak in Prince Albert. The health authority expects that number to rise.
To date, there have been 465 cases from the south area (226 southwest, 207 south-central, 32 southeast), 442 from the Saskatoon zone, 375 in the far north (356 far northwest, 19 far northeast), 310 in the central area (183 central-west, 127 central-east), 329 from the north (140 northwest, 118 north-central, 71 northeast) and 219 in the Regina region.
For the second day in a row, the province set a new record for tests performed in the province with 3,237, bringing the total of tests done since the start of the pandemic to 217,606.
