Police were very busy on Friday morning.
At around 6:30 a.m. police responded to two men attempting to break into an apartment building in the City Park neighbourhood.
The 49-year-old man and 25-year-old man were trying to use a screwdriver to get into the building. Upon police arrival, the older man was found to be possessing a stolen bike that was checked on the SPS bike registry.
They are facing a string of charges including possession of stolen property under $5000.
Two men were also arrested and charged after being caught with multiple weapons in the Nutana Park neighbourhood.
At around 9:00 a.m. officers responded to the 1600 block of Ruth Street East after it was reported that two men arrived in a vehicle and began causing a disturbance in the neighbourhood.
Upon police arrival, they located a knife and a can of bear spray in plain view in the vehicle.
Upon further investigation, a sawed-off shotgun, a machete, ammunition and another knife were found.
The two men, ages 31 and 38, are facing a combined total of 27 weapons-related offences.
