8:30 – Saskatchewan’s Energy and Resources Minister Bronwyn Eyre says Ottawa’s planned Clean Fuel Standard could have disastrous effects on this province’s mining, oil and gas sectors, as well as hitting consumers directly in their wallets. Eyre penned a letter to Minister O’Regan last week raising her concerns and noting that there was almost no consultation done with the provinces beforehand. Eyre joins Gormley to share her concerns about what’s being called Ottawa’s “secret carbon tax.”

10:00 – The remote learning model for Saskatchewan’s post-secondary institutions will continue through the winter semester as a safety measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but according to University of Regina Students’ Union President Gurjinder Lehal, the move creates some concerns around the cost of tuition and the quality of education delivered to the students. Lehal joins Gormley to discuss the concerns, and what measures he’d like to see from university administration to address them. Is it fair to charge full tuition for remote education? 11:00 – Dollarama and bargain stores are getting more popular as people try to make their dollars go further during COVID-19, when many have lost jobs or income. We like a bargain as much as the next talk show, but are there certain purchases you definitely shouldn’t cheap out on? Give John a call at 1-877-332-8255 and let us know: What do you always buy cheap, and what’s worth spending the money on?
12:00 – The province is making some big investments to improving ambulance response times, particularly in Saskatoon. Paul Hills is head of the Saskatoon Paramedic Association, and he joins Gormley to discuss how ambulance response times can be improved, and how COVID-19 has affected paramedics and response times.
