An employee at the Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) in Regina has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a news release, the refinery said the person last worked on Aug. 25, and tested positive on Sunday.
The employee is now self-isolating at home.
Safety measures have been taken since the positive test.
“At all of our facilities, we’ve increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitization at our sites, implemented a mandatory mask policy and measures to support safe physical distancing for those who continue to report to work,” the release said.
“In addition to these measures … the areas where the individual worked at CRC have been deep cleaned and sanitized since learning about the positive case.
“We are being as transparent as possible and disclosing confirmed cases at our facilities while keeping any personal information confidential out of respect for our team members.”
