Health officials are reporting zero new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan on Sunday.
This marks the second time this summer that no new cases were reported and the first time since Tuesday.
The total number of reported cases is 1,615, with 42 cases considered active after a recovery on Sunday.
Three people remain in hospital. One person is receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon and two people are in intensive care in Saskatoon.
Investigations have found that 17 of the 42 active cases are in “communal living settings”, the preferred provincial health term used to describe Hutterite colonies.
Of the 1,615 cases in the province, 236 cases are travellers, 826 are community contacts, 483 have no known exposures and 70 are under investigation by health officials.
Sixty-six cases are healthcare workers, 267 cases involve people 19 years of age and under, while the remainder of cases are adults.
People aged 20 to 39 account for 519 cases, 494 cases are in people aged 40 to 59, 277 are in the 60 to 79 age range, while 58 are in the 80-plus age range.
Fifty-one per cent of the cases are female and 49 per cent are males.
There have been 24 deaths related to COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.
By location, 415 cases are from the south area, 353 cases area from the far north area, 262 cases are from the north area, 259 cases are from the Saskatoon area, 194 cases are from the central area and 132 cases are from the Regina area.
To date, 139,272 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan. On Saturday, 1,281 people received COVID-19 tests.
