A young man who went to the Shellbrook Hospital on Friday with injuries and later died has been identified.
The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit North identified the 20-year-old as Wesley Custer, who is originally from Denare Beach.
His death is now being investigated as a murder.
The police didn’t provide details about the nature of Custer’s wounds.
Major Crimes is now looking for help in identifying who dropped Custer off at the hospital, what had happened and what he said during the days leading up to his death.
Custer was dropped off at the Shellbrook Hospital with what RCMP described as “serious injuries.” The death was originally ruled suspicious in nature.
Anyone who was in recent contact with Custer, or possesses information regarding his recent contacts is being asked to get in touch with the Shellbrook RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
