A 35-year-old man is facing several charges after police responded to reports that someone was seen carrying a weapon while running on the roof of a building along Idylwyld Drive on Wednesday night.
At around 11:45 p.m., police responded to a report of a man running on a roof of a building in the 1100 block of Idylwyld carrying what was described as a crowbar or pipe.
Police say the man was found at the corner of 33rd Street and Idylwyld Drive North carrying a broom handle with a knife taped to it.
While the man was being taken into custody, officers also discovered he was in possession of brass knuckles and fentanyl.
The man has been charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, and one count each of possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of fentanyl and breach of court conditions.
