Damage is pegged at $30,000 in a garage fire that the Saskatoon Fire Department says was deliberately set in the City Park area Monday night.
Fire crews were called out to the 800 block of Ninth Avenue North at around 11 p.m., after receiving a call about a garage fire.
When they arrived, they found the garage fully involved in fire. They had to use a chainsaw to gain access through the overhead door.
No injuries were reported.
In a release, the fire department said the cause was determined to be incendiary.
Then at around 2:30 Tuesday morning, the fire department received 911 calls about a fire in the Riversdale area.
When fire crews arrived at the scene in the 500 block of Avenue G South, they saw flames between two houses.
In a release, the fire department says there was fire damage done to the exterior of both of the occupied homes.
There were no injuries reported.
A fire investigator estimates the damage to be at $3,000 and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
