The COVID-19 advisories seem to be piling up this weekend as contact tracing continues in the province.
On Sunday morning, the Saskatchewan Health Authority released another advisory about possible COVID-19 exposure at a business.
This one was for the Superstore located in the Golden Mile Mall on Albert Street in Regina. The advisory said a person who later tested positive for the virus was there between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, August 7. This is the second time there’s been such an advisory put out about this location. In early April the store was also closed for cleaning after a worker tested positive.
There was an advisory issued Saturday evening about possible exposure at another Regina business — the Walmart in Harbour Landing between 11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5.
There was an advisory earlier in the week for the same day at the Superstore in north Regina.
The authority said the risk of transmission is low, but it’s urging anyone at the stores at those times to be extra-vigilant in monitoring themselves for symptoms of the virus.
Those symptoms include fever, cough, headache, muscle and joint aches and pains, sore throat, chills, runny nose, nasal congestion, conjunctivitis, dizziness, fatigue, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.
The health authority is urging people to continue with their COVID-19 precautions including keeping physical distance, washing hands frequently and wearing a mask in public.
