For the first time in its history, there is no Saskatoon EX in 2020 due to COVID-19. While there may not be a chance to enjoy the rides, the parade or the entertainment, you can still enjoy the food.
Susan Kuzma is the manager of special events for Prairieland Park. She says this weekend people can enjoy a “Taste of the EX.” You can go online and pre-order your favourite EX fare, and book a time to head to the Prairieland Park drive-thru to pick it up.
“Obviously we’re really disappointed we couldn’t offer the full Exhibition experience, but we are very excited for the weekend, and we’ve found a way to present a little piece of the EX with our first Taste of the Exhibition.”
Kuzma says the pick-up times begin Friday at noon and run right through Sunday. She says spudnuts are on the menu, as well as many other fair favourites.
“There’ll be some of our other featured EX foods. We’ve got poutine, candy and caramel apples, candy floss and of course some corn dogs too,” said Kuzma.
She says the only cost is for the food, and they will be keeping things as safe as possible.
“You just come to the park and they’ll direct the cars right by each one of the food vendors,” said Kuzma. “We’ll deliver it to the driver’s side window so you don’t need to get out of your vehicle at all.”
