Three children in Saskatchewan are safe after a domestic situation that nearly triggered an Amber Alert.
RCMP were called to a home in Unity on Tuesday at about 5 p.m., about a possible parental abduction.
Officers who arrived on scene learned three children had been taken by their father from their mother’s residence. RCMP said the incident qualified as an Amber Alert. The process was initiated, but was later called off.
Over the course of the evening, investigators determined a possible location of the father. He was found near Kyle but the children were not with him. They were located safe and sound a short time later at a residence in Maidstone.
This investigation is ongoing. RCMP said further details will be released at a later date.
