The Government of Saskatchewan says two recent flights — one each into Saskatoon and Regina — carried passengers who later tested positive for COVID-19.
In a post on its website, the government says Air Canada flight 8629 from Toronto to Saskatoon on July 9 and WestJet flight 605 from Toronto to Regina on July 6 had confirmed cases of COVID-19 on board.
The seats mentioned on the Saskatoon flight are in rows 12 to 17. The affected seats on the WestJet flight are from rows 4 through 10.
The government is urging passengers who were on the flights to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days after they arrived at their destination.
They’re the latest flights to appear on the government’s list of those that have been affected during the pandemic. Two flights into Regina were added to the list on Tuesday.
People who think they may have been exposed to the virus on a flight can use the Public Health Agency of Canada’s self-assessment tool to see if they have symptoms.
The Government of Saskatchewan also offers a self-assessment tool for those who believe they may have been exposed to COVID-19.
