More details have come out about Saskatoon’s fifth murder of 2020.
650 CKOM has learned that 18-year-old Dartagnan Whitehead was the victim in the shooting on the 100 block of Ave. K South in the early morning hours Saturday.
Following the incident, where Whitehead later died on the scene after police responded to the call, Saskatoon police had “a large number of people from the scene” in custody for questioning.
Sunday, Saskatoon police released that three people had been taken into custody, and charged with second-degree murder.
24-year-old Aidan Lachance, along with 20-year-old Telaina and 19-year-old Stephen Swiftwolfe-Lewis all made their first appearances in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday morning on the charges.
Lachance and Telaina Swiftwolfe-Lewis will appear in court for their second appearances in the morning of July 20.
Stephen Swiftwolfe-Lewis will appear for his second appearance in the morning of July 16.
