Severe thunderstorm watches, and warnings, are in effect for the majority of the province.
As of 7 p.m., Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm warnings for the south-east and south central areas of the province.
Those areas include Balcarres, Abernethy, Ituna, Foam Lake, Canora, Theodore, Lemberg and the city of Yorkton.
Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
Severe thunderstorm watches are in effect for areas in the west-central, north, down to the Alberta border in the southeast.
That includes the cities of Regina, Saskatoon, Lloydminster, Prince Albert, Swift Current, the Battlefords and Melville.
