11:20 – It didn’t take Saskatoon Mayoral Hopeful Rob Norris long to pick up a big stamp of approval. Former Premier Brad Wall took to Twitter Thursday, writing, “Rob was a hard-working, responsive Saskatoon MLA and an effective cabinet minister. He was always advocating for the interests and the people of Saskatoon. Seems like a great choice for Mayor.” Wall joins Gormley to tell us more.

12:00 – Saskatchewan will soon be the testing ground for a first-of-its-kind project to extract hydrogen from oil reservoirs while leaving CO2 underground. Alberta’s Proton Technologies will deploy its patented process, which has the potential to repurpose abandoned wells, fields and facilities, near Kerrobert. The company plans to build a 500-tonne/day hydrogen facility and aims to start selling hydrogen later this year. Proton CEO Grant Strem joins Gormley to tell us more about the unique project.
