What a difference a week makes.
Last week on the Green Zone fans voted nearly 50/50 on whether or not there was going to be a CFL season in 2020.
But this week, we’ve seen the players become increasingly frustrated with the league with no direction.
Then on Thursday, Commissioner Randy Ambrosie sent out a lengthy statement.
Reading between the lines, the future of this season looks bleak. Here was Ambrosie openly laying it out for the fans that it’s unrealistic to expect the league to pull off what the NHL and NBA are doing because of their beneficial TV revenue.
Then there was the safety and financially viable line, the two major things they need in their favour to pull off a season this year.
It’s hard to see the CFL being able to secure testing for more than 500 personnel on a regular basis in a hub city model to ensure they return to work safely.
So now 75% of fans are thinking we’ll be waiting another 12 months for CFL football. So I guess most of us have finally hit the acceptance stage of grief for the CFL season.
