Saskatoon police say a man was shot Saturday morning after being approached by several men in the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive North.
Police received a report at about 5:40 a.m., about four men in possession of a gun. A witness reported the men were running westbound.
A responding officer found an injured man nearby. The man was transported to hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
He reported he had been walking in the area when he was approached by four men who asked him for a cigarette and then began assaulting him. As he attempted to run away, he was shot.
He wasn’t able to provide a description of the suspects.
