A 47-year-old Alberta man is facing charges for possession of cocaine after the car he was driving was stopped by the RCMP for having a broken windshield.
According to a release, when the RCMP stopped the vehicle on May 20, the officer made several observations that led the officer to believe there were drugs in the vehicle.
The driver was then arrested for a drug offence and a search of the vehicle incidental to arrest resulted in the seizure of approximately one kilogram of cocaine.
The man was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He was released and is to appear Aug. 25 in Lloydminster Provincial Court.
