While the North has been the centre of Saskatchewan’s largest COVID-19 outbreak, many cabin owners are protesting the travel restrictions preventing them from accessing their seasonal properties. 10:00 – National Post Columnist Matt Gurney says the Liberals deserve to be criticized for trying to sneak a multi-million-dollar renovation to the Prime Minister’s residence at Harrington Lake past Canadians, but says the resistance to spending money on necessary repairs to official residences is becoming one of Canada’s stupidest political arguments. Gurney says 24 Sussex Drive and Harrington Lake are falling apart because politicians know they’ll face attacks if they fix them. According to Gurney, any mature country would treat these repairs as no big deal, and it’s past time we just agreed to “fix the damn houses.”
