8:30 – It’s official – school in Saskatchewan will not resume again until September at the earliest. According to the Ministry of Education, Saskatchewan’s 180,000 students are still being encouraged to take part in distance learning programs offered by their teachers, which will continue until the end of the school year. The Government’s Education Response Planning Team is currently working out what in-class learning will look like in the fall, but timelines have not yet been set. Education Minister Gordon Wyant joins Gormley to go over the latest on education in Saskatchewan.

Former Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, an advocate for Canadian oil and gas, says it’s sad to see how many Canadians mistakenly believe May’s comments, and noted how Quebec has benefited from the energy sector to the tune of billions of dollars. Wall joins Gormley to share his response when politicians declare the oil industry to be dead.
