A 29-year-old Biggar man is facing several charges after he was caught driving 133 kilometres per hour in a 50 km/h zone on Eighth Street East on Tuesday night.
A patrol officer in the area witnessed a half-ton truck travelling at a high rate of speed at about 11:30 p.m.
A traffic stop was attempted at Eighth Street and Louise Street, but the driver refused to stop.
Members of the air support unit spotted the vehicle and police used a tire deflation device at 20th Street and Idylwyld Drive.
The truck continued on and a second deflation device was used at Avenue C and 22nd Street.
The truck continued to be driven with no tires until it came to a stop at Avenue P.
The man was found to be under the influence of drugs and was arrested.
He is now facing charges of dangerous driving, impaired driving, evading police and breach of conditions.
