8:30 – A planning document from the Saskatchewan Health Authority picked up by the media this week contains a number of scary-sounding figures, including estimates that as many as 15,000 will die from COVID-19 in Saskatchewan while the healthcare system would be left overwhelmed. While capacity is a real concern, the document in question was used in planning and based the estimates on worst-case scenarios, according to the Health Authority.
