One boy is dead and two others are in hospital after a snowmobile collision near the northern community of Fond du Lac Thursday.
Fond du Lac RCMP received a report of a snowmobile collision on Meech Pond near Fond du Lac around 11 p.m. Thursday evening.
Two snowmobiles collided head-on, RCMP said in a media release.
One snowmobile operated by a boy was traveling west. He was transported to a nearby medical clinic where he was pronounced dead.
The second snowmobile traveling southeast operated by another boy with a second boy passenger were transported to a nearby medical clinic with injuries and were then transferred to a hospital in Saskatoon.
RCMP has no available updates on their condition.
Fond du Lac is located roughly 780 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
