Saskatoon police have charged five teen girls in connection to a stolen vehicle chase early Tuesday morning.
Police first spotted the stolen vehicle around 5:30 a.m. at Avenue B and 22nd Street, but lost sight of it as it drove south.
Officers were able to locate it again soon after at 17th Street and Avenue G.
Lights and sirens were turned on in an attempt to stop the vehicle, the driver fled southbound again and police had to abort.
The vehicle eventually crashed at Avenue K and 12th Street and everyone inside it ran.
Police found the five suspects and arrested them.
All five are charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, failing to comply with court conditions and had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
The driver also faces charges for evading police and dangerous driving.
