Stephen Bryce is no longer the head coach of the University of Regina Rams.
The Canada West football team announced that it accepted Bryce’s resignation on Wednesday and that Bryce was leaving due to personal reasons.
Bryce has been the head coach of the program since 2016. In his first season as the team’s bench boss, the team went 6-3 (including playoffs) and he was named the Canada West coach of the year.
During his four seasons with the team, Bryce accumulated a 17-17 record including playoffs.
Bryce is a former Regina Rams player, playing five seasons with the junior team and helping the program win a national championship in 1987 — his first year with the team.
Rams offensive co-ordinator Mark McConkey has been named interim head coach.
