'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
Time is running out to escape the cold with a tropical vacation.
Cheryl Danbrook, the manager of CAA in Saskatoon, said most travellers have already locked in their plans.
“It seems like we were booking in early July,” she said.
It was also an unusually busy December.
She said it’s probably too late to make it out to the best resorts, but there are still some options.
“There’s not a whole lot left for the winter,” Danbrook said. “Your five- and four-star hotels are gone, but if you’re not that picky on where or when, we should be able to get you out of this cold.”
She said the best spots that are still open are in Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
If you make plans now, you could be on your way to a hot destination within two weeks.
