It was a very exciting Wednesday morning for some students at Ernest Lindner School in Hampton Village.
The Saskatoon Squadron of the 38 Signal Regiment reserves brought in some of their heavy duty communications gear that can reach all the way to the North Pole, so they could get a signal at Santa’s workshop.
The kids were excited to get a chance to let the jolly man know what they’re hoping to see under the tree Christmas morning.
Malina was all about Barbie.
“I asked Santa for a purple Barbie house, and lots of purple Barbie dresses and pink dresses, and purple and pink tiaras,” said Malina. “Tiaras really are pretty, aren’t they?”
Gage told Santa he was very excited, and asked him for a Nintendo Switch and Mario Cart 8.
Zirrea excitedly told Santa about how much she loves Scruff-a-Luvs — but also had a confession to make.
“Hi Santa, I know you gave me a Scruff A Luv, because I already saw my first present.”
When C.J. got his chance to ask for a present from Santa, he decided to leave it in the big guy’s hands.
“I don’t know, something cool?”
Operation Radio Santa has been going into schools to connect kids to the North Pole since the 1980’s.
