A house fire in northern Saskatchewan has claimed two lives.
In a release, the RCMP said the fire occurred in Pelican Narrows on Saturday just before 11 a.m.
The Mounties said seven or eight people were in the home during the fire, including two children.
Two men were unable to escape the home during the fire, but their remains haven’t been positively identified.
Officers believe the fire was not suspicious.
The Pelican Narrows RCMP will continue the investigation into the cause of the blaze with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroners Office and a Provincial Fire Scene Examiner.
