Michael Milne’s goal at 8:08 of the third period stood up as the winner as the Winnipeg Ice downed the visiting Regina Pats 5-4 in WHL action Saturday.
Milne scored twice for the Ice, which also got two goals from Isaac Johnson. Nino Kinder had the other goal for Winnipeg (10-7-1-0), which got 30 saves from Dean McNabb.
Carter Massier had two goals for the Pats, who got singles from Ty Kolle and Drew Englot. Max Paddock stopped 33 shots for Regina (2-12-2-0).
The Pats’ next game is Nov. 16, when the Prince Albert Raiders visit the Brandt Centre. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
