City of Saskatoon officials are waiting for a Toronto court decision to find out what’s happening with more of the money it lost to a fraud scheme back in August.
On Tuesday, an Ontario Superior Court Justice considered the case, but there is no timeline on when the decision will arrive.
So far the city has recovered about $700,000 it lost when a fraudster managed to redirect more than a million dollars meant to go to a local construction company.
Any money that has not yet been returned to the city has been identified and locked down by the court.
