'Considering the circumstances ... this is best-case scenario,' Cole Cusitar said.
A condo in Saskatoon’s Fairhaven neighbourhood was damaged Saturday afternoon following a fire in the basement suite.
According to a media release, firefighters were called out to the home on the 100 block of Olmstead Road just after 3 p.m.
When they arrived, heavy smoke could be seen coming out of a window in the basement.
The fire department said crews extinguished the flames using an attack hose line and cooled the home through the basement window.
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the suite, leaving the other adjoining units safe.
No one was hurt.
The fire investigator is still determining the cause of the blaze and damage estimate on the home.
