Saskatoon firefighters had a busy morning Tuesday battling two garage fires.
The first was called in just after 3 a.m. The initial call was for a dumpster fire, but when crews got to the scene, they found a garage on fire at 308 Ave. J North.
There were no injuries reported and the fire is not considered suspicious.
Damage is reported to be $50,000.
As firefighters finished battling the blaze and were leaving the Ave. J North fire, they noticed smoke in the area, and called dispatch to send a truck . It was confirmed that a garage was on fire at 113 Ave. M South.
The single detached garage was in flames and fire crews also had to protect a neighbouring garage.
There were no injuries reported and damage is estimated at $8,000.
The Ave. M South fire is deemed suspicious and the file has been turned over the Saskatoon police.
