AJ Jacubec said roster, coaching and penalties held Canada back at the World Juniors.
A campaign to build an end-of-life care facility in Saskatoon received a $500,000 donation on Monday.
“I like to give where there is need … where we can make a difference in our community,” said local philanthropist Joe Remai.
“Most cities of this size have (a hospice) and it’s important for families to be able to be together at that time in their lives.”
The St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation launched the Close to Home in January. Construction on the 15-bed hospice began in May with an opening date expected sometime in 2020.
Including Monday’s donation, $19.5 million has been raised for the facility.
