Two people are facing charges following a weekend attack that has left a man in critical condition.
According to a Saskatoon media release, a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy each facing a charge of aggravated assault of a 38-year-old man less than a block from St. Paul’s Hospital on Saturday.
Police and Medavie Health Services West were called to the 1700 block of 20th Street West at roughly 6 p.m. on Saturday after a person witnessed an assault.
Over a dozen police were on scene and the street was closed for several hours.
Elisa Wilson’s son filmed the aftermath and she posted the video to Facebook.

The critically injured man was soon located and transported to Royal University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
An investigation led police back to the same block the assault took place where the man and teenager were arrested.
Investigators do not believe the public is in any danger or the attack was random.
Both of the accused were scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday morning.
