Body recovered from South Saskatchewan river

A water rescue that began Wednesday afternoon near the Victoria Boathouse ended a few hours later with the discovery of a body.

The man’s body was located a short distance from where a witness said the man went under the water.

The scene was then turned over to the police and coroner for further investigation.
