Rose played in all 18 games last season for Calgary Stampeders.
The Saskatchewan Rush have made a change in goal.
The team announced Tuesday that it traded for the New England Black Wolves’ Evan Kirk.
Kirk, the 2016 National Lacrosse League (NLL) goaltender of the year, has a 12.42 GAA over 102 career games, with a .786 save percentage.
The Rush gave up goaltender Aaron Bold and defender John LaFontaine in exchange, along with a first round pick in the 2017 NLL draft and a second-rounder in 2018.
“Our fans are passionate, dedicated and have a strong appetite to win. Acquiring a goaltender of Evan’s skill set will strengthen our defense and help us challenge for our fourth consecutive NLL championship appearance. Get excited for Evan Kirk, Rush Nation. He’s going to be an impact player for us for many years to come,” Rush owner Bruce Urban wrote in a statement announcing the trade.
Bold, who currently holds a 71-39 record in goal after 12 seasons, thanked Rush fans in a video posted to his Twitter account.
