Saskatoon police have labelled a suspicious death in Pleasant Hill on Friday as the city’s ninth homicide of 2019.
Police were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of Avenue V South where a 52-year-old woman was discovered dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to speak to the major crimes section, or call CrimeStoppers.
The homicide marks the third homicide in Pleasant Hill in less than a week.
A 45-year-old man was murdered in the 300 block of Avenue T that same night.
Police say the two cases are not related.
Saskatoon typically averages six homicides a year since 2006. There were 10 homicides in Saskatoon all of last year.
