Earlier this week a Saskatoon mom took to social media with claims it took police more than 90 minutes to respond to her home.
Christine West said her 15-year-old daughter was lured out of their home and hit on the head.
The girl got back inside, locked the door, called West then called the police, West claimed.
Police told 650 CKOM they couldn’t comment until a formal complaint was filed.
In an update on Facebook Thursday evening, Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) offered more information.
“The SPS received a 911 call from a 15-year-old victim following an assault. The call taker confirmed with (the) victim that she was not seriously physically injured, and safe inside her residence with the door locked,” the statement read.
Because of the information the 911 operated received it was not deemed to be an urgent situation.
Police will continue to review the situation, the post ensured.
