The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) is renewing its calls to find a man who ran from the site of a two-vehicle crash on Thursday evening.
In a media release, police identified the suspect as Jeffrey Tkatchuck.
The SPS guns and gang unit members were searching for the 33-year-old around 5:50 p.m. Thursday after he failed to appear in court, the release said.
A man, believed to be him, was seen driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on the 300 block of 11th Street East.
Officers tried to pull over the vehicle but said it became unsafe.
Soon after, the same vehicle and a Honda CR-V collided at the intersection of Eighth Street and Eastlake Avenue, causing both vehicles to roll over.
A 75-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man in the CR-V were treated in hospital for minor injuries.
Following the crash, police said Tkatchuck ran from the scene.
He is described as 5-foot-8, weighing 150 pounds with green eyes and short brown hair.
Tkatchuck is wanted on several unrelated charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine, cannabis, heroin and fentanyl) and failure to appear in court.
The collision is still under investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
