Plans announced for Broadway high-rise apartment

Broadway Avenue is going to have a skyline of its own in a few years.

Baydo Development Corporation announced its plans Tuesday to build a new 10-storey apartment tower at the corner of Broadway Avenue and Main Street.

Dubbed “880 Broadway,” the project will feature 68 rental units throughout the building, and 20,000 square feet of retail space on the first two floors.

The apartments will mark the first new residential properties on Broadway in 40 years, the company claimed.

Tuesday’s announcement comes just months after plans for a 17-storey condo building were unveiled for Broadway Avenue near 12th Street.

Baydo Development noted the apartments will be split between one- and two-bedroom units, with some featuring up to 600 square feet in outdoor spaces.
