Fire causes power outage in Forest Grove, Erindale areas

Saskatoon Light and Power crews spent most of Tuesday dealing with the aftermath of a pole fire in the Forest Grove and Erindale areas.

In a media release, the city said it expected the around 2,000 affected homes to have power restored Tuesday evening.

It will be short-lived. At 8 p.m. a planned outage is scheduled to begin in the same area.

Most properties will have power back within two hours.

The outage is expected to last longer at Forest Grove School and approximately 120 properties around it while crews replace poles and fix damaged equipment.
