Severe thunderstorm warning for area near Saskatoon

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning Sunday for areas near Saskatoon.

The warning in the Martensville, Warman, Rosthern, Delisle and Wakaw corridor was issued just after 4 p.m. Sunday.

The weather service reported it was tracking a system with the potential to cause heavy winds, rain and nickel-sized hail.

Anyone encountering severe weather was urged to seek shelter or take cover.

All weather warnings were lifted by around 6 p.m. Sunday.
