For the second time in a month, someone in Saskatchewan has struck it rich playing the lottery.
According to the Western Canada Lotteries Corporation website, the $5-million jackpot from Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 was won by a ticket purchased in Saskatoon.
The winning numbers are 8,10, 17, 36, 39 and 44. The bonus number is 40.
Last week, Mary Wernicke from Neville, Sask. claimed her $60-million prize after having the sole winning ticket from the Aug. 12 Lotto Max draw.
It was the largest lottery prize ever handed out in Saskatchewan.
